The noun antithesis forms its plural as antitheses. Its common meaning is simply 'opposite', both as a technical term of rhetoric and as a word in more or less everyday use.

(For an account of its use in rhetoric and in the study of language, see antithesis.)

This plural formation is common in both Greek (the original language of this word) and Latin, through which it came into English.
