The forms of the verb 'to market' are spelled with a single '-t': the past forms are 'marketed', and the present participle is 'marketting'. For more, see Consonant doubling.

The agent noun marketeeralso has a single '-t-'. It is not much used in its literal sense of 'one who makes, or deals in, a market, except as 'a person who engages in illicit trading - a black marketeer. In Britain in the 1960s, it became used for 'a supporter of Britain's entry into the European Common Market'.
