The town, the title and derivatives of both are pronounced 'MAWL-b'ruh', IPA: /ˈmɔːrl brʌ/ in RP, although Marlborough Avenue in Hull and other local names are often realised as MAHL-b'ruh, IPA: /ˈmæːl bʌrə / or IPA: /mɑːl brə/, or various combinations and variations of these.
