Burned and burnt are both acceptable spellings of the past tense and participle of the irregular verb 'to burn'. The difference between them is mostly a matter of taste.

In some contexts, it may be seen as more natural to use a voiced consonant like '-d-' than the unvoiced equivalent, '-t-'. Only native speakers are advised to concern themselves with this.
