Synthesis

The word synthesis can mean the joining of constituent elements to make a coherent whole.
- This definition is more likely to be used in science based subjects - for example photosynthesis in biology. *Synthesis may have another meaning however which is the combination of thesis and antithesis in
the Hegelian dialectical process whereby a new and higher level of truth is produced.
