Te Deum Laudamus

The Te Deum Laudamus is the Latin name of a Christian prayer. It is very old. It is sometimes called 'the Ambrosian hymn' out of a tradition that it was composed by Saints Ambrose and Augustine on the occasion of the latter's baptism by the former in AD 387. It has also been attributed to Saint Hilary, but it is now ascribed to Nicetas, a Bishop of Remesiana in the 4th century.

Iudex crederis esse venturus.	We believe that you will come to be our Judge.	We believe that thou shalt come : to be our Judge.
