The verb 'to shred', meaning 'to tear or cut into small bits or strips', has been regular verb since the Middle English period. The past forms are shredded.

It is an error to form them on the analogy of the irregular verb 'to shed': there is no such past tense or past participle in formal written English as shred. Use shredded.
