The British Library, commonly abbreviated as BL, is the largest collection of printed and handwritten material, containing "well over 150 million items" (BL website, 2018), in the United Kingdom. It is housed in two main sites: the principal collections of books and manuscripts (and exhibitions) is the British Library at St Pancras, 96 Euston Rd, London NW1 2DB; there is also a site, officially British Library Document Supply Centre mostly used for interlibrary lending at Boston Spa, Wetherby LS23 7BQ. The British Library Newspapers collection is also housed in Boston Spa: it was previously at Colindale in London.
