Interviewed is one of the 117 mis-spellings listed as 'Common difficulties' in the section on 'Spelling' within 'Writing' in UEfAP.
AWE can think of no way of mastering the spelling other than memorizing it. The noun 'an interview' and the verb 'to interview', with its forms interviews, interviewing and interviewed, are spelled this way.
