Christmas Day itself (25th December), the commnemoration of the birth of Jesus, is not one of the Twelve Days, which start on the 26th (the Feast of Saint Stephen, principally known in Britain as Boxing Day, as being the day on which servants were given their Christmas Boxes, or presents, by the employers whom they had served over Christmas Day - and all year, no doubt).
