Worship

In British English, the forms of the verb 'to worship' are spelled with a double '-p': the past forms are 'worshipped', and the present participle is 'worshipping'. For more, see Consonant doubling. (American English prefers the single '-p-': 'worshiped' and 'worshiping'. To write this in the UK will normally be called an error.) This applies also to the agent noun, worshipper in British English and 'worshiper' in American.
