Category:Good academic writing

A small - and possibly not very useful - sub-set of the category 'Good writing'. Readers of AWE should note that all good writing shares certain qualities, and different kinds of writing only differ in emphasis. For example, AWE's advice that Good writers [should] think about their readers holds good for all kinds of writing; but academic writers are thinking about a special readership - those who are well-informed, with developed tastes, and inclined to follow a conventional, even pedantic view of correctness in writing.
